I met Nathan in the metro one afternoon, where he very smoothly understood how to open an interesting conversation. We got out at the same stop and were so much into the conversation that we ended up having tea and dinner together that same evening. We have been good friends since. To name just a few things about Nathan, he is a thought-provoking and idealistic cosmopolitan, always trying to make the world a better place.

"Nathan is a unique individual in the modern world. In the time I have known him, he's proven himself as dedicated to learning and helping share that with others. His ambition to learn about a variety of subjects focused around language, technology, and social issues makes him well suited to take part in many professional forums. If Nathan is determined to learn about something, you can consider it only a matter of time before he has accomplished it."
I can describe Nathan with three words: funny, versatile, and sharing. He always has positive energy. Discussions with him expand your horizons and teaches you new things. He is very talented about languages. I like his style. He is not satisfied with having knowledge in a single area, and he is always open to learning. So I'm really happy to have a friend like him.

I want to say that together we can do better works. That's what we do in the NJE group. We research some topics and we share what we learn, we talk about it in English in our speaking clubs.
We are lucky to have a great teacher who is organizing these speaking clubs voluntarily, and also organizing everything very well. We are discovering new places in Istanbul as well. Don't you want to join us and learn more than English while improving your English? :).

Everyone knows him as Nathan but who is he actually? I will try to describe him with my words. I've met him when I was taking English lessons in a language school in 2014, but he couldn't possibly be my teacher because he knew a lot about various domains of philosophy, I was learning new things about life and widening my horizons. Day by day my English skills were getting better. Time passed too quickly as we engaged in brillant conversations. I'm grateful to Nathan for having stopped the time for me, thank you for raising my confidence up in speaking English
I met with Nathan on the internet and I joined the speaking club. Thanks to this group, I am improving my English speaking skills as well as meeting new people and broadening my horizons. Furthermore, we are discovering new places each week.

Hello! My name is Pavel. I'm from Dnipro, Ukraine. I visited Istanbul in October 2017 and spent 7 amazing days there. I met Nathan when my tour was already about to end. If only it could happen earlier! He showed me a different side of Istanbul, the really Turkish side which was inaccessible to me because of the language barrier. I will never forget Turkish colour, cuisine, drinks and travelling through the history of Turkey – a trip to the Suleymaniye Mosque, the Bosphorus Bridge and some others. I only regret that I had very little time for personal communication with Nathan who appeared to be a great company and outstanding guide for me. I’m pinning hopes to visit Istanbul in June 2018 to learn more about Turkey and tell about Ukraine, especially taking into account a long mutual history of our countries. By the way, I have been exploring the history of Ukraine for more than a dozen years and I invite everybody to ask any questions about the subject. It will be my pleasure to reply. With kindest regards, Pavel.
We have met a long time ago at a mountain hiking event. When we were going down from the mountains something went wrong with my legs and I couldnt walk properly. Even though we had just met with Nathan, he helped me come down and carried me down to the village way. Ever since then we are very close friends. We have been through many things together: we got lost in the mountains, hitch-hiked a few times, camped, played music, eaten muskatni orašić(nutmeg). Also we have constantly discussed mostly about philosophical topics and ethics, religion, political systems, and ontology. He is a very intelligent person and has many abilities in diferent fields.>
I met Nathan in one of the NJE events, I learned about Not Just English through social media, and I had the pleasure to meet a lot of interesting and like-minded people which can be a little hard to do in this time, especially in an enormous city like Istanbul. NJE was a platform to have quality conversations, exchange experiences, share ideas and make friends along the way. Nathan built a local community through these meetings where people felt among friends and got to do a lot of social activities. I applaud him for that, and I hope he continues doing the good things.

Nathan is a good teacher who explains the materials very well. He explains it easily and if you need the Russian translations, it wouldn't be a problem for Nathan. My lessons are interesting because I practice Grammar, Speaking, Listening and Writing skills. Since the lessons are always different, I do not have the time to get bored or distracted. Our lessons go so fast that I wonder "Ноw come!? Did I waste my time in vain?" My skills get better with each lesson, and I dont even notice how. But I know that nothing is better than having lessons with a native speaker. I had a lot of lessons with Ukrainian teachers, but nobody was able to give me as much pleasure while learning English as Nathan. You don`t need to worry about your level, because even if you are a beginner, Nathan will be able to help you since he has a good command of Russian language to explain materials.
I met him a few weeks ago. I needed to find a teacher who could help me improve my English. Nathan agreed to have lessons with me and so we started. However, our meetings did not last as long as I wanted because he had to leave Ukraine. In the beginning, I was confused however we found a solution. Since he left, we have been having lessons over the internet. If you ask me to tell you about my teacher, I can say that he is a responsible person. We don’t waste our time, and we make the best use of it. Nathan doesn’t fiddle around, he prepares very interesting homework, and he supplies me with the internet links which are very useful for me. I have a dream to reach my goal and I really hope that my teacher will help me reach my goals.

I was very lucky to meet Nathan one day. He became not only a teacher for me, but also a friend. The biggest merit of Nathan is that he was the first who could explain to me the rules of grammar! And moreover I understood them and started to use them in my speech.
We have skype lessons and I like it so much! What is more, after the end of each lesson I am full of energy and positive feelings. Nathan knows how to learn languages from his own experiences in learning various langauges and what is more important is that he knows how to teach them. Our lessons are very interesting, and well-structured. If you will have one lesson with Nathan, be sure that you will want to continue your discovery of English language with him!
